Hello APO Brothers, I hope that you all had a great summer! I wish your summer jobs and internships gave you quality experience and money. I also hope that you are ready to come back and do amazing APO events. I look forward to seeing your final products and how you will market the Alpha Phi Omega brand. Remember, as we start off the semester we need to keep an eye to the future of this organization through recruitment. It is my hopes you blow the previous recruitment numbers away, and keep Section 50 on the top of the lists for numbers. If you need any assistance or ideas for recruitment do not hesitate to contact me. A big initiative of mine is to get this section working together. Yes, we are different chapters with different traditions and ways of doing things, but we are all brothers of Alpha Phi Omega. We are united under the same banner and same common vision, so there is no reason we should have high levels of disconnect. It is my personal view that only though collaboration can we create greater projects and achieve greater goals. There are many of you interested in connecting the section, and I applaud you for such. Please keep up the great work, and do not forget you can use your advisors or section staff members for any assistance. As part of my effort to stay connected and rely critical information I have created the Section 50 Chair twitter account. I will be tweeting information; since most people will not read anything past 2 paragraphs this is a perfect way to reach everyone. Please join this account... http://twitter.com/APOSec50Chair Finally, Alumni the Tri-Sectionals team at University of Illinois (Alpha Alpha) has come up with a survey they would like for you to fill out. They are making an effort to cater toward your needs during the development of this conference. Please fill out the answers to the survey located via this link http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/CLSTTC9. Good luck in your first days of class! - Dan |
